The Lukum upholstered system has come about from cushions, more precisely from a world of cushions: seat-cushions, arm-cushions, back-cushions, which create islands of comfort for an idea of the casual-chic home, for a formally resolute, refined and reassuring flavour. The name, clearly of Oriental origin, evokes a rarefied atmosphere of large Ottoman divans, of relaxation; indeed, the dimensions are large, airy, the cushions are connected up invisibly, standing on the ground. Large hems, taut fabrics, elegant and precious, smock stitch out of scale on the sides, confer a flavour of understated luxury. The structure is beech wood, covered in fireproof high-resilience foam.
