The SZ 01 was originally woven from pulp cane, but in the middle of the nineties this was replaced by synthetic cane. This was because the pulp cane that could still be obtained in the Netherlands was not of the required quality. Synthetic cane is both flexible and strong. It retains its colour and is easy to clean. The armchairs are available in black, off white and natural (caramel-coloured) synthetic cane (SZ 01)
The easy chairs are also available in black and natural saddle leather (SZ 02).
