Auckland, a revolving armchair with footrest, a consolidated model that, in any case, Massaud interprets with originality, with a shell case seat.

He has deliberately left the shell exposed and always in black or white, so that it appears like a suit of armour (with clear reference to the Kendo tradition), which protects the padded parts. The case fits onto the stele of the pedestal, which has four spokes, using a projecting strip. This unusual, eccentric “coupling” creates a rocking movement in the seat, which is barely perceptible but very enjoyable.

Chair comfort is completed by an adjustable-height headrest, fixed to the backrest with a metal disc.
