Tsar Nicholas II and his family in the days leading up to the tumultuous winter of 1917. The picture came back to me one Sunday afternoon, when the young woman in the photo was played by the splendid Ingrid Bergman. The Grand Duchess was elegant, sober, attractive and mysterious, everything required to make her shine in my memory and in the glass and aluminium fantasy which I've created for my Anastasia. Certain features that provide coherence to a work can inevitably be noticed in the career of any prestigious designer.
When those unifying characteristics of an artistic experience are in tune with the demands of a demanding and knowledgeable public more and more of aware of their needs, the creation is no longer a mere taste for aesthetics and becomes a social icon. Anastasia, one of the novelties that MODISS internationally exhibited in the FIAM fair in Valencia, combines the distinctive elements of its designer, Alfonso Fontal, with the trend of the market in search of beauty.
It is for that reason that this subtle lamp, hand made from distilled white opal reflector combined with a black, red or transparent receptacle that seems to be levitating thanks to a sober satin aluminium foot, and seems to be one of the milestones in the next season with regard to interior design and decoration.
