Lipla is a low and gently formed queen sized bed. It is relaxing not only for the body but also for the eyes. By relaxing the customary right angle between the headboard and the mattress, Massaud has sought to achieve a continuum free of abruptness. The result is soft lines upholstered in a very elastic textile that closely wraps the form and gives even more visual uniformity to the project.
In reality, Lipla is composed of a number of perfectly integrated elements. The mattress rests on a wooden frame. An upholstered structure with a headboard ‘encircles’ the mattress. And there is an optional wooden element that stands at frame level behind the headboard and provides nightstands with drawers on either side of the bed.
Lipla’s conception integrates perfectly into the Porro Collections, which have been oriented for a number of years now to broad, low beds.
The harmony of its forms, the choice of obtuse over right angles, the particular conformation and the use of upholstery allow Lipla to venture out of the bedroom and enhance a lounge with its alternative function of a low couch.
Lipla can be personalized by choosing among a vast range of textile colors and the various glossy or opaque wood finishes for the frame and optional element.
